My name is Gideon Cooper. I am a writer, reader, and educator. I am one of many individuals who live daily with treatment resistant depression. I am still here. days and counting.
I am happy you are here. I hope this site will bring you joy and knowing that you are not alone. I write on here to show the world the truest parts of someone who is deeply depressed and the type of filter that has on every day life. It means so much you are spending your time reading what I have to say.
While I hope you find a spark of something as you read, you will probably notice there are no comments on this website. I believe the comment era of the internet has vastly ruined human discourse. It has made the experience of reading or engaging with any content about the reaction versus what was posted. My hope is if you read something I wrote and it resonated with you, that you will share it with someone and talk about it with them.
Whether you have depression, or know someone with depression, or somewhere on that spectrum; my hope is that these pieces of writing will bring more light, or illumination, to the darkest places we keep hidden.
